Time, distance, economic hardships and sometimes floods keep many who live in villages from receiving the medical care they need.   IMI holds medical clinics in India to help with this great need and also to build relationships and contribute to the areas we minister in.  We’re not there just to blow in and blow out, but to build into the communities – and to establish the credibility of the local church and her pastor.

In 2005, IMI exported an ultrasound machine to a Christian medical clinic in northern Jordan.  This machine is the only one in the area and has changed the dynamic of the whole clinic to help provide pre-natal care to the women.  We also send medical supplies into Iraq to help hospitals with this urgent need – this is an ongoing project.

Needs: Currently, medical supplies (complete list is available) and medical equipment are needed, including dental chairs and two ambulances.  Unique opportunity - $15,000 is needed to purchase 1 million dollars of medical equipment through a non-profit agency.  Funds are also needed to ship medical equipment that is available at this time overseas in a container.

Help with a medical clinic - If you are a qualified EMT, nurse, PA - and especially if you are a doctor - and are interested in IMI’s medical ministries overseas please contact us.

Baby Blanket Project:  Dee Cook, director of IMI’s International Women’s Ministry, Beautiful, is asking for hand-made flannel baby blankets to be readied for distribution to young Iraqi Muslim women.  For more information, please see our Beautiful page.
