In 2002, IMI opened a children’s home in central India named after Dr. and Mrs. J.W. Cook, Sr. (shown in picture above), who arrived in Northeast India in 1930 and served for 32 years training nationals. With a brand new facility for 100 children which recently opened in June 2007, IMI is now seeing the continuation of this vision begun many years ago by the Cooks bearing fruit today.
Medical care, quality education, a healthy environment, uniforms, nourishing meals, special outings and loving personal attention are all part of what each child receives at IMI’s children’s home.
Each child is sponsored from the generous donations from US and Indian sponsors. Currently, there are 27 children in the home needing support at $50/month. Sponsor a child today by clicking here.
